Buffy is very Siamese in nature.  Since we moved into a flat of our own she has gotten a lot calmer.  As long as she's in my arms, she feels safe.  She is termed as short haired, but she's really long coated.  Her fur matts up REALLY easily, but she HATE'S being groomed.  She's my furr-baby.
