EDS3 aka Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Type 3:
I was born (13th Nov. 1978) with this condition. Although I wasn't diagnosed till I was 30. This is quite normal as EDS is hard to recognise & diagnose. The 'Zebra' is sort've our mascot. Basically the Collagen in our bodies just doesn't work correctly. Collagen is what keeps the body glued together. It's inside i.e. muscles/tendons etc... We ARE literally falling apart since birth.
EDS causes MANY problems. The problems I have are:
Chronic pain
Chronic fatigue
Eyesight issues
Sleep problems (I CAN'T sleep flat)
Dislocations (of ANY joint, at ANY moment)
Stretchy skin (my eyelids are a bit stretchy)
Lifetime of 'strong' painkillers
Easy bruising
Easy scarring
Takes longer to heal
Cold weather/stress aggravates condition
I MAY have internal organ problems (more common & fatal in type 4)
Etc...
